Installing a VFD on a Hardinge DSM-A

I would like to install a VFD on a Hardinge DSM-A lathe (230V, 7A, 2HP motor, 25 KVA supply transformer on the pole outside) in a machine shop. I have never worked with VFDs before and am learning to do this on my own. The wiring and grounding should be okay and I have read alot about this. I am still trying to determine if I need a line reactor.

Someone at a VFD internet store recommended a Hitachi WJ200-015SF at $283. I have seen the Hy02D223B on a popular internet auction website at around $140, but there seems to be some mixed reviews about this Hy brand.

It would be nice if the VFD could be replaced easily with the same brand unit.

My question: What are some good, reliable, inexpensive VFDs that can work with the Hardinge?

Thanks for your time!
