Bridgeport Mill, how did I do? for a newbie anyway???

I'm fairly new to working with metal and the whole machining field. A few months ago I picked up a small South Bend lathe and now a few weeks ago I picked up a Bridgeport Mill. I don't know a lot about this mill and thought I would post some pics up here on the forum and pick everyone's knowledge to learn more about it.

I had it out yesterday starting to clean it up so that I can get it ready to use down the road. It is an older mill. I'm interested in whatever information anyone would be willing to share with me.

Here are some of the pictures I took yesterday.

I'm looking forward to getting this cleaned up, lubed up and beginning to use it. I can think of a few projects I'd like to try on it, but that will be a while yet I believe. I want to go through this first to make sure it is cleaned up good and is working properly.

I'm also excited to hear what you folks can tell me about this machine. Hopefully I got a decent machine for someone starting out.

Thanks,
Rick
