Hardinge HC options

Voltage, were they all over the place as far as what voltage the motor was?

How about horsepower?

The one I looked at had the threaded nose instead of the hardinge taper, is it 99% likely to be 2 3/16-10 or are there whammy's out there?

Same thing, 99% likely to be 5C, or are there variations?

What kind of variations should I expect to find.

All reeves drive? 3 different speeds that feed in to the reeves drive?

I found one in the back of a warehouse where I was hoping to go and buy the mechanical part of a turning center. I need a CNC lathe. Unfortunately, the scrap truck beat me to the turning center. This is the next best option I think, since I should be able to just throw stepper motors and ballscrews on to it and have it working pretty quick. All of my parts are 1 1/2" or under except a few, which are about 3"...but don't require heavy material removal.

I'm thinking the HC will suit me better than the W&S #5, which was the only other production machine I could find today.

As long as the spindle bearings aren't toast, or the bed completely fubared...i'll probably bring it home.

I just wish I could have pulled the serial number, or even seen the front of it...damn corners!
