I bought a cutter to make some gears for my HLV. It just arrived today so I whipped a 55 tooth gear off the machine's end cluster and was surprised to find that they are not 22/29DP as I read they should be but 22DP full depth teeth.

Is this unusual or were the UK market lathes all fitted with full 22DP gears? What are the ramifications or disadvantages, if any, of what I have on my lathe?
