Hello, just bought a 1969 JHead mill and am in the process of moving it part by part from the pickup to the garage.
I took the head off and it tumbled over and shortly after I found a steel tube 3.6 inches long loose in the bed. Please understand I have never used or worked with a Bridgeport mill before so don't pounce too hard. I will read the archives, and I will get to know the machine.
I hadn't planned to own one, but I looked on Craigslist on Friday and ...
At any rate the tube is 3.6 inches long, has an ID of 0.575 in. and an OD of 0.882 in.
Might be a cheap handle stuck on something loosely, but if it is something essential I would appreciate someone filling me in.
Thank you,
John
