Romi/Bridgeport/DoAll 13-5 Lathe Feed Issue

Hey guys, I have a Romi 13-5 (same as a DoAll 13-5 or the sometimes Bridgeport labeled machine). My issue is that the longitudinal feed is not working. Cross feed works just fine. The lever that selects which feed you are using does not seem to pull the rod with the gear that engages longitudinal feed out far enough to engage or mesh the gearing. If I take the lever off and do it by hand it works fine. I've tried adjusting it but can not for the life of me figure out how to get it to engage? Any ideas?

Attached is the parts diagram. The part in question is mainly R33552. Please let me know if you have any ideas.
