Hardinge Cataract lathe & mill, very old

I should probably put this in the antique forum but here goes. I had a friend ask me to look at a Hardinge lathe & mill that he was given wondering if it was worth anything. It 'was left in a storage locker when the tenant moved out and didn't want it. It is a immaculate Cartarac lathe dating it from Tony's site as around early 1900'S. It has 3 jaw, 4 jaw & 3 faceplates. The paint is original and looks like new, no chips or scratches and all the beautiful hand scrapping. The mill is around 1905 and is a vertical mill in like condition with many attachments and a beautiful Hardinge mill vise. Any idea what something like this is worth, I am thinking of buying it and putting it in the living room just for show (the wife said OK). I don't want to feel like I robbed the guy by making a low ball offer.
