Fitting chuck onto HLVH.

Hello all, I'm a bit confused about the fitting of a chuck on my HLVH when I need to have the spindle turning in reverse. My question is, when I do run in reverse, do I need to fit the chuck onto the taper anti (counter) clockwise ?. I'm a bit concerned if I had say a parting tool upside down in the tool holder and had a dig in when running in the forward direction, would this be enough to "undo" a chuck if it had been fitted clockwise to the taper ?. I hope I've explained this properly !!!.
I've been experimenting with different parting techniques, and the thought of the chuck perhaps jumping off is a bit of a concern. Many thanks.
