Need help with Hardinge BB4

Thank you in advance for all assistance rendered:
The story: Although I was not in the market for a BB4, one just "followed me home"... so to speak. Now I have the pleasure of bringing s/n 47-23920 back to life. You all know the all too familiar story, years of neglect, entropy etc. have taken their toll, missing parts, rusted frozen parts etc, sad really... The machine must not have been run in many decades as the motor was pulled, for some unknown reason, most likely incompatibility with local power supplies as the remaining controls are 2 phase, and we all know how long ago that system faded into antiquity. Still in all she is a beauty, literally rescued from a junk yard for a song and a dance... So where does that leave me? Well,... first things first, top to bottom will be my approach. I need your collective help in replacing the three drive belts, i.e.
1) what type & size
2)how to remove the spindle & related assembly
3) pitfalls in this process to be avoided
Photo's would be greatly appreciated.
If it is not too much of a "sacrilege" would it be possible to use modern "linked" belts instead of std. replacements so as to avoid spindle removal, if so; what type and size? I ask this as I have checked the spindle run-out and it is approximately 2-3 tenths, and I would rather not disturb that if possible by removal and reassembly.
There will be much more help needed with the"old-girl" but for now, the above request is more than enough. Thanx once again, and best to all... Joe
