I have a Hardinge HC and I have recently bought a lever operated cross slide for it, I now need the adapter to fit the slide to the bed.
I have found these to be rare in the UK and too expensive to buy from the USA so I plan to make one, however I need some pointers.
I have looked at the sales literature and got most of the dimensions but I would like some advice-
1 how wide is the adapter ie what is the length along the bed of the lathe
2 is the clamp in the same as the cross slide ie a single bolt to the rear?
