The guy I bought my Bridgeport mill from had a brand new Fagor 40i 8" DRO on the shelf he got a good deal on. It's sells new for about $1700. We've become friends and gone to a few public auctions together. We were just texting and he said that he had the lighting that was mounted to my mill and when I head up to his place I can pick it up. He mentions that he's still got this Fagor DRO but no mill to put it on now. I said what do you have in mind? He said I'll take $875 for it. I asked him if he'd be willing to make a trade? He says what do you have? I sent him pictures of three rifles. A Sig Sauer 516 Gen 2 AR-15 equipped with a Leupold VXR Hog scope and a Harris bipod and a Surefire defender 500 lumens tactical light with pressure switch. But since I've got $2150 wrapped up in that rifle it would be a lop sided trade. No way I'm trading that for a DRO. Next I showed him what I really wanted to trade him. A Remington 700 SPS .300 WinMag equipped with a Leupold VX2 and a Harris bipod only fired 80 times. After 20 min of negotiating he accepted a straight trade across for the WM and a box of 20 rounds of Remington 200 grain A frame ammo for it. "SCORE" :D HE really wanted that Sig and was willing to throw in a brand new Kurt vice with the DRO. But since I just bought a brand new Kurt D688 vice I really needed the DRO instead. I love negotiating trades. No cash out of my pocket.:)
