Looks similar to a Hardinge cataract lathe...what is it?

Gents,

I have here what I originally thought was a Hardinge Cataract lathe. It has Hardinge parts, even the Hardinge dual post cross slide with the wooden lever handle..but the base doesn't match other machines I've seen online, and I'm not an expert on the older stuff (well, I'm not an expert at all). Is this a base from another manufacturer? Shop-made replacement (impressive)?

The shop made stand has a drawer full of Hardinge 3C collets, and some tooling. I have no room for this beauty right now in my cramped garage, but I want to make sure it's described accurately and honestly when sold.
