I'm fairly new to machining and recently bought a Bridgeport mill with a Heidenhain VRZ 731 but the reader heads are faulty and wondered if anybody have have experience on using any other makes of reader heads as there experience new.
Was thinking of buying a Chinese cheap dro but would like to use the original Heidenhain DRO.
Any help would be appreciated.
