Probably sounds like a silly question, but some of the washers are cut with a full face on one side and a beveled face on the other. Specifically where the castle nuts hold the bull gear housing on, and where the nuts hold the head onto the base.
I'm sure Bridgeport engineers had a reason for doing this, so I'd like to orient the washers correctly. I've not been able to find this information in a book or schematic.
I have paid attention when taking them off, but the head has been off before and I'm not sure if the bull gear housing has been off before. I don't want to assume they were put on correctly the last time.
Here is a pic of the two different orientations. Which is the correct one please?
