Bp clone: noisy high range hurth coupling

Any one familiar with taiwanese vary speed heads?

I've just replaced the sheave thrust bearing in my little XYZ mill and it is now nicely quiet in low and neutral. However, in the high range there is an irritating rattle from (or associated with) the hurth coupling .

If i take a little weight off of the spring, by easing the clutch lever slightly, the rattle reduces some.

Having not taken one of the apart before, does anyone have suggestiond what to look for?

Bill
