Concerned about Bridgeport model

I was recently travelling up east among machine tool dealers, and one of the dealers told me that any Bridgeport mill which
has a serial number starting with HDNG was made outside of the US, and would fall apart, or not be accurate.
I am concerned about this as I just recently bought a like new Bridgeport HDNG 3216, and have not put it into service.
Does anyone have any knowledge on this subject??
