Anyone done this recently? Reason I ask is that the older threads do not show any pics of the front mounting, and the kit now comes with a "front mounting option". Basically an Anodized AL block that has both tapped holes for the reader head and c-bored holes for cap screws to attach it to the X-axis power feed stop switch location(you'll have to re-position the stop switch if you want to keep it).
Problem is that the head does not really fit well no matter which way you flip the reader head or the bracket.
I plan to use the ram lifting hole for the display, even though it's currently occupied by a collet rack, but I can work around that
