Hardinge HC Chucker on VFD

Hello Everyone

Hope everybody is having a nice weekend. So I just recently purchased a very nice 1979 Hardinge HC Chucker lathe which included the Hardinge automatic threading attachment. I've been doing quite a bit of research on the best way to solve the single phase to three phase problem for my shop. My original idea was to simply buy a 5hp rotary phase converter. But my research has brought me to the Variable Frequency Drive. I believe this topic has been covered here before. But after reading several posts - I'm still not clear as to the correct direction to take. My understanding is that - A VFD will act as a phase converter changing my shop power of single phase 220 to three phase 220 (240) that my Hardinge is looking for. It also can alter the frequency below and above the usual 60hz one sees from standard line current. Great. My confusion is the multiple on board motors this machine has. For those that do not know - this machine has The Spindle Motor, a speed control motor, a coolant motor, a carriage motor for the Z and X and power going up to the automatic threading unit. Lots of stuff! What I'm hoping is - if I set my VFD to 60hz my power will be converted to three phase and all on board electrical motors will function correctly. Do you guys concur? I'm always cautious of any "simple fix solution". I'm thinking of a 3hp 220 single phase in and 3 phase out Teco VFD. Thanks for any comments or help.
